VILLAZAN is pleased to present “DRAWING TIME” an exhibition of new works on paper by the internationally-acclaimed contemporary artist Edgar Plans that have never before been shown in an exhibition.

In this occasion, the artist's characteristic characters are drawn in his favorite technique, graphite on paper. Some of them live in a black and white environment, others seem to subtly introduce different colors on their own, and there is even a runner's room with a wall painted from top to bottom in pastel pink.

Throughout this exhibition, the Spanish artist Edgar Plans makes references to Frankenstein, werewolves or vampires but instead of arousing terror, they prove once again that they are not evil and in fact, they seem to invite you to play with them, reminding you that you were once a child too.

On the occasion of the opening event VILLAZAN Store will launch the new book works by the Spanish artist Edgar Plans, with the process of one of his international exhibition and the limited-edition set of Two Snow Globes “Basketball player” and “Artist girl” at the opening reception on Thursday, December 15th, 2022.

The exhibition “Drawing Time” by Edgar Plans will be on view through January 7th, 2023 at VILLAZAN.
