VILLAZAN is pleased to present "Animal & Humans," an exhibition featuring new paintings by Young Lee that have never before been shown in an exhibition.

In this exhibition the artist invites us to a fun and festive game in which she explores the relationship between humans, animals and the environment, but in a conscious way in which she wants to question and rethink our relationship with the earth in times of climate crisis.

In the artist's own words, "although the theme explores issues of our time, I try to make my paintings playful, humorous and visually brilliant. It is important to me to create a playful visual world that invites the viewer to participate."

Combining imaginary characters and real-life subjects, Young Lee creates a unique world of her own that is a paradox: at once playful and disturbing; simultaneously familiar and strange. Since her degree from the New York Academy of Art, Young has shown her works in galleries throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
