Soonik Kwon is a South Korean artist born in Seoul in 1959 and graduated from the Fine Arts Department at Sejong University.

He has exhibited his works in numerous local and international exhibitions, mainly in North and South America and Europe.

Kwon's mixed-media paintings and installations have been featured in over 30 solo exhibitions and more than 50 group exhibitions globally. In 2008, he participated in a residency program in Spain and at the Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art in Korea.

His artworks are part of prestigious collections and institutions such as the Museo Nacional de Arte Contemporáneo (MAC) in Venezuela, Sungnam Art Center in Korea, Cosmo Art Gallery in Spain, and Museo de Arte del Tolima in Colombia.

Additionally, his pieces are held in various private collections throughout China, Singapore, and Venezuela, among other countries.
